Litigation Attorney – Richmond, VA

Klein Thomas Lee & Fresard is a boutique litigation law firm that handles complex civil cases in state and federal courts across the country. The firm is seeking a junior or mid-level associate attorney with appellate litigation experience to join our Richmond office in our Appeals and Advanced Motions Practice Group. We primarily work remotely, although an office space is available for associates who prefer an office setting.

We have a busy and challenging national practice, but we recognize the need for work-life balance. We place great value on teamwork and camaraderie. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition away from BigLaw yet still handle sophisticated legal matters.

We represent manufacturers, product developers, healthcare providers, and other companies in high-stakes class actions, product liability disputes, and other commercial litigation. Our practice is fast paced and intellectually challenging. Excellent writing skills are a must. Associates will have substantial responsibility to draft major motions and appellate briefs.

Minimum Requirements
• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
• Member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar.
• At least one year of civil litigation experience.
• Ability to travel a few days per month for depositions, inspections, hearings, trials, and other litigation-related matters.

A post-graduation judicial clerkship is preferred but not required.
