Klara A. Zierk is a litigator in Klein Thomas Lee & Fresard's Detroit Office. She represents clients in the areas of product liability and class action. She is a board member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Wayne County, whose goal is to secure the full and equal participation of women in the legal profession while encouraging the next generation of lawyers to get involved in the legal community. She has litigation experience in commercial law, medical malpractice defense, real estate law, and probate. Klara brings a unique perspective to her practice having pursued a dual degree while in law school, earning a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental Health Science. Klara previously worked as an associate at a local Detroit area firm where she gained invaluable litigation experience both in and out of the courtroom. Klara also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to a Business Court Judge in the Third Circuit Court. Klara is comfortable at all stages of litigation having experience drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, and preparing for and attending trials. In addition, Klara worked at a small boutique defense firm defending medical malpractice cases, premises liability cases, and negligence cases for fortune 500 companies. While in law school, Klara participated in the Honorable Robert H. Staton Moot Court Competition and she held two positions on the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review, while enjoying the privilege of having her Law Review Note published. Also, during law school, Klara participated in her school's disability clinic where she represented a client in front of an Administrative Law Judge before the Social Security Administration's formal hearing process.

Klara was born in Newport Beach, California, but she was raised in metro Detroit. Klara spends her free time with her partner, Justin, and their three cats. Klara enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, hiking, camping, and watching the Detroit Lions, of course.
