Matthew Dollan is an experienced class action defense attorney and commercial litigator.

In his near-decade of practice, Matthew has successfully represented clients throughout trial and appeal, obtaining dismissal of claims at the pleadings stage, and utilizing the discovery process to defeat class certification and obtain summary judgment in favor of his clients. Matthew has extensive experience taking and defending depositions, working with expert witnesses, drafting dispositive motions, and preparing appeals. Matthew has also represented clients in federal criminal matters, negotiating plea deals with the Government and obtaining sentences well below federal guidelines for his clients.

Before joining the firm, Matthew worked as a litigator at Thompson Coburn LLP and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where he represented clients in consumer protection and securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, contract disputes, professional malpractice matters, and SEC investigations, in addition to maintaining an active pro bono practice focused on criminal defense work, immigration appeals, and government litigation. Matthew also served as counsel to nonprofit, ArchCity Defenders, where he led major civil rights litigation against local municipalities and obtained class certification for his clients.

As a first-generation college graduate, Matthew enjoys mentoring younger attorneys from nontraditional backgrounds. Matthew also enjoys spending time with his wife and children, running, hiking, and cooking.
